The role:
As our new Technical Trainer, you will lead the design & delivery of high-quality, blended learning experiences for the Claims Investigation Unit. A key priority is building and maintaining a focus on professional development & capability across the team.
This role will work between our North Lakes & Toowong sites.
Key Accountabilities:
-
Translate strategic objectives into operational learning plans, monitoring industry and regulatory trends to keep initiatives relevant and current.
-
Engage with team members and stakeholders to identify learning needs, skill gaps, and implement quality training solutions within agreed timeframes.
-
Design, develop, deliver, and evaluate blended learning solutions aligned to business objectives, values, and cultural integration.
-
Collaborate with internal teams to build training content across onboarding, technical, and ongoing professional development; acting as a coach and mentor.
-
Conduct training needs analysis, train-the-trainer sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure materials remain fit for purpose.
-
Track employee progress, provide feedback, and maintain comprehensive training records for audit and compliance purposes.
-
Stay current on technical knowledge and industry developments to ensure training remains accurate, compliant, and effective.
-
Contribute proactively to team efforts, supporting colleagues on projects and learning initiatives as needed.
What experience you’ll bring:
-
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE) and a background in technical claims functions desirable.
-
Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and deliver constructive feedback.
-
Proactive, commercially astute, and adaptable with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
-
Knowledge of the Insurance Contracts Act, General Insurance Code of Practice, non-disclosure, and utmost good faith principles is preferable.
