Attorney-General's Department is seeking an ICT Procurement Officer to work as part of a small team of ICT Professionals to support the Information Division achieve strategic and effective ICT procurement outcomes which are compliant with relevant rules and policies.
Information Division provides IT services to the Attorney-General's Department including Royal Commissions. The services provided include infrastructure services, help desk support, IT security, application support, ICT project management and ICT contract and procurement services.
The advertised role sits within the Office of the CIO who supports the Chief Information Officer, and Information Division with ICT Procurement activities, ICT Financial Management, ICT Asset Management and ICT Governance and Co-ordination activities.
The key functions of this role are to:

Assist with all aspects of ICT Procurement including approaches to market, procurement registrations and approvals and drafting contracts

Provide support to internal stakeholders on all aspects of ICT procurement

Track costs of ICT Procurement including payment of invoices and management of purchase orders.

We are seeking experienced ICT Procurement Professionals to work in a small but busy section of the department's ICT Division delivering procurement advice and services. People who work for us will display leadership at all levels, apply information effectively in order to solve problems, are willing to explore innovative ways of working and work collaboratively to achieve outcomes.
Our ideal candidate will excel at the following selection criteria:

Demonstrated experience in conducting ICT procurements in a government context including applying the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs), the Public Governance Performance Accountability (PGPA) Act.

Experience using the Digital Transformation Agency BuyICT Portal to conduct and manage ICT Procurements.

Contract development experience

Planning, and organisational skills with an ability to manage competing priorities and demands

Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business areas and IT individuals at all levels including executives

Sound judgement in responding effectively to stakeholder needs, including demonstrated attention to detail, ability to develop internal and external relationships and work collaboratively to achieve results

Support continuous improvement of procurement and contract processes and templates.
Other qualifications: Must hold a Certificate IV in Procurement and Contract Management.
