About the roles
These roles will see you operating heavy mobile plant across significant bulk earthworks and civil construction activities.
Working closely with Supervisors and the broader construction team, you’ll be responsible for operating your nominated equipment safely and productively while helping the project achieve its daily production, quality and safety requirements.
We’re particularly interested in experienced operators with strong bulk earthworks backgrounds. For our Allrounder positions, we’re looking for genuinely multi-skilled operators who are competent across several pieces of heavy mobile plant.
What you’ll be doing
- Operate heavy mobile plant safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements
- Undertake bulk earthworks and associated civil construction activities
- Complete daily pre-start inspections and equipment checks
- Identify and report plant defects and maintenance requirements
- Work to project levels, specifications and Supervisor instructions
- Maintain strong production while ensuring safety and quality standards are achieved
- Work collaboratively with Supervisors, other Operators and project personnel
- Assist with maintaining safe and productive work areas
- Participate in pre-starts, toolbox meetings and project safety activities
- Take care of allocated equipment and operate plant within manufacturer and project requirements
Your skills and experience
- Demonstrated experience operating heavy mobile plant on civil construction, mining or resources projects
- Strong experience in bulk earthworks environments
- Proven competency operating one or more of the following:
- Dozers, ideally D8–D10 or similar
- Excavators, including 30T+ machines or similar
- Graders, including CAT 14M or similar
- Multiple items of heavy mobile plant for our Allrounder Operator positions
- Nationally recognised competencies/tickets for the equipment you operate
- Strong understanding of safe and productive heavy plant operation
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and care of equipment
- Ability to work effectively within a high-production construction environment
- Previous Pilbara and FIFO experience will be highly regarded
- Construction White Card
- Valid driver’s licence
- Ability to work a 2:1 FIFO roster ex Perth
