Grandton Aged Care is a boutique 26‑bed residential aged care service within a 14‑storey vertical community in Applecross, overlooking the Swan River. Residents enjoy premium accommodation with access to amenities such as an indoor pool, cinema, gym and the Lotus by Roshana restaurant.
We are looking for Rostering Coordinator to join our aged care team at Grandton Aged Care, in a (part time) capacity. This role will be operating Monday to Friday - 9am to 2pm.
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Rostering Coordinator to manage the day-to-day rostering and workforce coordination for our aged care facility. This fast-paced role is critical to ensuring safe staffing levels are maintained while supporting operational efficiency and high-quality resident care.
Working closely with the Facility Manager, clinical leaders, and employees, you will coordinate rosters, manage shift replacements, maintain workforce records, and respond to changing staffing requirements in a timely and professional manner. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives under pressure, and has exceptional organisational and communication skills.
- Develop, maintain, and coordinate staff rosters to ensure appropriate staffing levels across all shifts.
- Manage planned and unplanned leave, shift changes, and last-minute vacancies.
- Coordinate agency staff and casual workforce requirements when required.
- Liaise with managers and employees regarding roster requests, availability, and staffing needs.
- Monitor roster compliance with relevant awards, enterprise agreements, policies, and legislative requirements.
- Maintain accurate employee availability, roster, and workforce records.
- Assist with onboarding and rostering of new employees.
- Generate roster reports and provide workforce information to support operational planning.
- Support payroll processes by ensuring roster and attendance information is accurate and submitted on time.
- Provide administrative support to the management team as required.
- Build positive working relationships with employees while delivering responsive and professional customer service.
- Previous experience in a rostering, workforce planning, scheduling, or coordination role, preferably within aged care, healthcare, or a similar 24/7 operational environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex rosters and responding to changing staffing requirements.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience using rostering and workforce management systems (Humanforce, UKG, Procura, Care Systems, or similar is highly regarded).
- Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Knowledge of aged care awards, enterprise agreements, and workforce compliance requirements is desirable.
- A National Police Clearance or NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one.
