About the Role
As a Bakery Sales Assistant, you'll play an important role in creating a delightful experience for our customers every day. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing exceptional customer service
- Serving customers and operating the register
- Merchandising and maintaining attractive product displays
- Promoting products and assisting with sales
- General cleaning and maintaining high store presentation standards
- Working as part of a positive, supportive team
What We're Looking For
The ideal applicant will have:
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A reliable and hardworking approach
- The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Great attention to detail
- A neat and professional presentation
- Confidence handling cash and using point-of-sale systems (or willingness to learn)
- Previous retail, hospitality or food industry experience is highly regarded but not essential
Availability
This is a casual position, and flexibility is essential.
We are looking for team members who are available to work a variety of shifts, with a strong focus on:
- Weekends
- After-school and evening shifts
- Additional shifts during school holidays and busy trading periods
