Prospect Hill is looking for a Senior Disability Support Worker / Team Leader to support two of our Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes in Townsville.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting participants, leading by example and helping others succeed. You'll work closely with our experienced management team, who will provide ongoing guidance and support as you develop your leadership skills.

About the Role
This is a hands-on role where you'll continue supporting participants while taking on additional leadership responsibilities.
You'll work alongside your team, helping to create a positive home environment and ensuring participants receive high-quality, person-centred support.
Your day may include:
- Supporting participants with personal care, daily living activities and community access
- Leading by example and providing day-to-day support to your team
- Assisting with the onboarding and mentoring of new staff
- Helping ensure participant support plans are followed
- Completing progress notes and documentation
- Working with management to maintain a safe, welcoming and well-run home
- Building positive relationships with participants, families and other professionals
About You
We're looking for someone who is passionate about supporting people and ready to take the next step in their career.
You'll have:
- Experience working in Supported Independent Living (SIL) or disability support
- A positive attitude and willingness to lead by example
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A calm, reliable and solution-focused approach
- A genuine commitment to person-centred support
Leadership experience is welcomed but not essential. If you're an experienced Disability Support Worker who's ready to grow into a leadership role, we'll provide the support and mentoring to help you succeed.
Essential Requirements
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Current Driver Licence
- Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- Unrestricted Australian working rights
Desirable
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability) or a related qualification
- Experience working in Supported Independent Living (SIL)
