About the Role
Total Generators is seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Motor Mechanic to join our team working out of the Meadowbrook Branch, Queensland. This is a unique opportunity to work in the Power Generation industry for a company that has high standards of equipment reliability and customer service.

Position Overview:
The Diesel Motor Mechanic will be responsible for the assembly, service, maintenance, and repair of diesel generator sets and associated mechanical systems. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, fault-finding ability, and strict attention to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out maintenance, and overhaul of generator sets and fixed-speed engine systems (1500 rpm), including models such as Perkins 1103 & 1104, Cummins QSL7–9, QSX15, Isuzu, Komatsu, and Scania DC13.
2. Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults in generators, engines and related components.
3. Dismantle, repair, and reassemble engine components, pumps, turbos and mechanical assemblies as required.
4. Conduct alignment, lubrication, and adjustment of mechanical parts to ensure reliable performance.
5. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
6. Participate in daily pre-start meetings and adhere to all Occupational
Health, Safety, and Environmental (OHSE) requirements.
7. Participate in on call roster that is shared amongst all staff.

Experience and Qualifications Required
1. Trade qualified Diesel Mechanic
2. At least 3 years’ experience in maintenance, and repair of plant or engine-driven equipment.
3. Sound knowledge of mechanical systems, fault diagnosis, and repair procedures.
4. Generator experience highly regarded.
5. A high standard or professionalism and quality of workmanship.
6. High level of personal presentation and customer service focus.
7. Able to work independently and within a team environment.
8. Able to manage time effectively.
9. Willing to travel frequently and adapt to remote working conditions.
10. Strong commitment to safety and housekeeping standards.
11. Ability to work independently.
Pay: $41.00 – $47.00 per hour
