We are looking for a dedicated Veterinarian to join our close-knit and friendly team at Hawthorn Vet!
Hawthorn Vet is a modern, small animal practice located in Adelaide’s affluent south‑eastern suburbs, just minutes from the CBD.

Digital radiography (including dental x-ray)

Ultrasound

IDEXX in-house pathology

Capability for a wide range of procedures, including orthopaedics (e.g. TPLO) and soft tissue surgery

This is a varied and engaging role with a mix of clinical responsibilities, including:

Consultations
-
Surgery (soft tissue and orthopaedics if desired)

Dentistry
-
Diagnostic procedures and imaging

Ongoing care of hospitalised patients
Clinic hours:
-
Weekdays: 9:00am – 6:30pm
-
Saturdays: 8:30am – 1:00pm (1 in 4 rotation)

No after-hours or on-call work (all emergency cases are referred)
We primarily see dogs and cats, with occasional exotics and local wildlife cases.

BVSc (or equivalent) and eligible for registration in South Australia

Minimum of 2 years’ practical experience

Confidence in managing a mixed medical and surgical caseload

Strong commitment to high standards of patient care

Ability to manage caseloads independently

Excellent communication and client relationship skills
