VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY FOR FILMMAKERS & PHOTOGRAPHERS
Help Capture an Official Australian Record Attempt and Be Part of Australian History
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced filmmaker and an event photographer to help document an official Australian Record attempt at the Australian Camp Oven Festival.
We are looking for a talented volunteer (or two!) to help us capture the Australian Record Attempt of the largest meatloaf in the shape of Australia, which take place at the Australian Camp Oven Festival in Millmerran, QLD on Saturday the 3rd of October 2026.
If you have a good video camera (including macro) and you can do editing, we're interested in you. You will be working alongside Celebrity Bush Cook Ranger Nick and be recognised as the official media creator on public platforms, giving you a great opportunity to expand your portfolio.
To support the official submission to the Australian Book of Records, the entire event must be comprehensively documented through professional video footage and high-quality still photography. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a memorable Australian event while producing content that will become part of the official historical record.
We need someone who can capture the entire process from beginning to end, including:
- Preparation of the cooking area.
- Preparation of ingredients.
- Lighting of the fire.
- Preparation and assembly of the meat loaf.
- Public participation and hands-on involvement.
- The cooking process.
- Relevant cooking times and stages.
- Measurement of the completed meat loaf.
- Official verification procedures.
- Community witnesses and officials.
- The completed meat loaf.
- The announcement of the record result.
- Cutting and serving of the meat loaf.
- Festival patrons consuming the meat loaf.
The footage will form part of the official evidence submitted to the Australian Book of Records and may also be used for future promotional and historical purposes.
