We're growing our engineering team and currently have two full-time, permanent positions available — a Mechanical Engineer and a Mechanical Engineering Technician. Mechanical Engineer Salary: $80,000 – $1,00,000 per year (depending on experience)
This role suits someone who enjoys solving technical problems, optimising processes, and contributing to the quality and efficiency of our blasting and coating operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, and oversee mechanical aspects of blasting and coating equipment and processes
- Conduct inspections, testing, and quality assurance to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce equipment downtime
- Liaise with clients and contractors on technical specifications and project requirements
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation
- Ensure all work complies with WHS and environmental regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering
- Previous experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or coatings environment preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Sound understanding of mechanical systems, equipment maintenance, and quality control
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
Mechanical Engineering Technician Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 per year
This role is ideal for someone with hands-on technical experience who enjoys supporting design, maintenance, and process work in an industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, drafting, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems
- Conduct routine inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of plant and equipment
- Support engineers with technical documentation, drawings, and reports
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend maintenance or upgrades
- Assist with quality control checks during blasting and coating operations
- Maintain accurate records of technical work and equipment servicing
Requirements:
- Diploma or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent qualification)
- Previous experience in a technical or industrial support role preferred
- Good working knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment maintenance
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work safely and effectively in an industrial environment
