Bar Lucio is located in Kensington and we are currently hiring.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced cafe manager to join our friendly team.
This position is full time and will include working weekends.
We are a trendy little cafe located in the heart of Kensington that will make you feel like you are in Italy. We are situated in a beautiful sunny location close to all public transport and the light rail.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the café to ensure excellent customer service
- Ordering and keeping on top of stock & wastage
- Creating and managing rosters
- Ensuring compliance with hygiene & safety regulations
- Ensuring all areas are kept clean and tidy
- Ensuring communication runs smoothly between front of house and kitchen
- Training, educating & mentoring staff
- Leading the team
- Planning and organising café operations
- Monitoring budgets and financial performance
- Recruiting and training staff
- Supervising service standard
- Managing daily reconciliation and manage cash handling
- Work with business owners to achieve sales and profitability targets
- Ensure compliance with food safety, WHS and licensing requirements
- Resolve customers enquiries and complaints
What we are looking for:
- Previous hospitality experience of at least 2-3 years (café preferred)
- Ability to lead, drive and motivate the team to deliver incredible customer experiences
- A can-do attitude
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Able to work as part of a team
- Able to create a welcoming and caring environment for customers
- Able to efficiently and effectively resolve customer concerns and enquiries
- Excellent organisational and problem solving skills.

Pay: $79,499.00 – $80,000.00 per year
