Where you'll be working
SESLHD is one of the largest local health districts in Sydney, covering a geographical area of 468 square kilometres from Sydney’s central business district, the beaches from Bondi to Cronulla and down to the Royal National Park. We deliver health care to around 930,000 residents across the local government areas of Woollahra, Waverley, Randwick, Bayside, Georges River and the Sutherland Shire. We also provide a key role in helping residents of Lord Howe Island. Our staff also deliver high quality health care across a variety of community-based services ranging from pre-birth to palliative care.
The Role
The Research Development Manager leads and coordinates research development services across SESLHD to build research capacity, strengthen funding readiness, support research translation and improve the visibility, quality and impact of research activity across the District.
The role leads the establishment and operation of the Clinical Research Support Unit and provides high-level operational, governance and strategic support to the Director of Research, researchers and research leaders to deliver research development priorities aligned with SESLHD and NSW Health objectives.
The role provides high-level research development support to researchers and research leaders across SESLHD.
The role builds research capacity and capability across SESLHD by supporting researchers, strengthening research development services and enabling high-quality, ethical and impactful research. The role strengthens coordination and collaboration across SESLHD’s research environment.
