PhoneCycle Pty Ltd is a company that operates within the electronics, recommerce and eCommerce sectors, specialising in the acquisition, refurbishment and resale of pre-owned mobile phones, tablets, laptops and other electronic devices. PhoneCycle works with businesses to manage device assessment, grading, refurbishment, inventory management, deployment and buyback.
About the Role:
The role will support customer acquisition, lead generation, brand visibility and revenue growth through data-driven campaigns, market research, performance analysis and ongoing optimisation.
The Digital Marketing Specialist will help to develop, execute and optimise digital marketing strategies across paid advertising, organic content, email, web and CRM channels.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Build and manage email campaigns, audience segments, nurture sequences and automated workflows to support lead generation, customer engagement and sales opportunities.
- Create and optimise landing pages, forms and conversion journeys, and write and edit content for advertisements, emails, social media, blogs, case studies and website pages.
- Conduct market, customer and competitor research to identify market opportunities, target customer segments, industry trends and demand for PhoneCycle’s services.
- Translate technical subjects such as device lifecycle management, data security and sustainability into clear marketing messages, and develop recommendations on service positioning, promotional strategies and pricing-related marketing initiatives for PhoneCycle’s services.
- Manage PhoneCycle’s organic social media presence and content calendar, support SEO activity and improve the visibility of PhoneCycle’s services across relevant digital channels.
- Develop campaigns that generate enquiries, qualified leads and sales opportunities, and support product, service, partnership, charity and sustainability initiatives with targeted marketing activity.
- Monitor and analyse website, advertising, email, CRM and campaign performance, produce reports linking marketing activity to leads, opportunities and revenue, and advise management on target markets, positioning, promotional strategies and improvements to overall marketing performance.
- Test audiences, messaging, creative, offers and calls to action to improve performance, while maintaining consistent messaging and brand presentation and collaborating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers when required.
- Manage paid campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads and LinkedIn Campaign Manager, including audience targeting, campaign optimisation and performance monitoring.
- Use AI and automation thoughtfully to improve marketing quality, efficiency and scale.
Employment Type: Full-time, Hybrid - primarily remote, with attendance at the Ringwood office approximately every six (6) weeks for team meetings, campaign planning, product and service familiarisation, content development, performance reviews, and coordination with management and operational staff. Additional office attendance may be required from time to time depending on business and campaign requirements.
Qualifications and Work Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Entrepreneurship, Commerce or a related field.
- At least five (5) years of relevant professional experience in digital marketing, performance marketing, growth marketing or a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Mailchimp, Zoho or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Experience with digital advertising platforms, including Google Ads and Meta Ads, together with strong knowledge of campaign optimisation and performance measurement.
- Demonstrated knowledge of SEO, digital analytics, conversion optimisation and customer journey management.
- Experience using design and content development tools such as Figma and Canva.
- Familiarity with AI and workflow automation tools, including Claude code and ChatGPT is highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of websites, landing pages, web technologies or basic coding will be highly regarded.
- Strong analytical, written communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
