About this opportunity
Reporting directly to the Team Leader - Service Delivery, the Enrolment Services Officer plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the Victorian Register of Electors, ensuring enrolment information is reliable and up to date. The position supports electoral operations by resolving enrolment issues, managing data quality, and contributing to critical election-time processes.
About the team
The Enrolment, Integrity and Roll Products and Systems Teams form the Roll Management Branch. The Roll Management Branch is responsible for maintaining the Victorian Register of Electors and producing accurate electoral rolls for State and local government elections.
A day in the life of an Enrolment Services Officer
The role involves maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the Victorian register of electors by analysing electoral data, resolving discrepancies, and investigating enrolment matters.
A key component of the role includes linking elector address information to geospatial data and investigating any inconsistencies.
Additionally, the role supports electoral events through activities such as close of roll processes and the checking of provisional votes.
About you
- Experience producing accurate and timely work that contributes to team objectives.
- Experience in using a variety of information sources to resolve discrepancies to maintain a database with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Experience accessing and administering sensitive information in ways that are compliant with privacy principles and obligations.
- An understanding of electoral enrolment in an Australian jurisdiction is preferred but not essential.
