About the Role
Break Check is looking for a licensed mechanic with a current Pink Slip (Authorised Inspection Scheme) licence to join our team on a Sundays-only basis. This is a great opportunity for an experienced tradesperson looking to earn extra income on weekends without committing to full-time hours.
You'll be added to our AIS station and responsible for carrying out vehicle safety inspections (Pink Slips), with occasional logbook servicing and diagnostic work required on the day as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Pink Slip (eSafety Check) inspections in line with AIS station requirements and RMS/Service NSW standards
- Accurately complete and lodge inspection paperwork/reporting via the AIS system
- Perform logbook servicing on an as-needed basis
- Carry out basic diagnostics to identify faults affecting inspection outcomes
- Communicate clearly with customers and workshop staff regarding inspection results and any required repairs
- Maintain a safe, tidy, and compliant work area
Requirements
- Current NSW Pink Slip (AIS) licence — essential
- Qualified motor mechanic (trade certificate) or equivalent hands-on experience
- Sound knowledge of vehicle safety standards and inspection criteria
- Diagnostic skills across a range of makes/models
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently on Sundays
- Own tools preferred

Pay: $45.00 – $85.00 per hour
