Financial Accountant – Technical / Multi-Entity
Numbers don’t scare you. Messy reconciliations, complex entities, and system integrations? That’s where you thrive.
If you’re a technically strong accountant who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and making finance functions run smarter - this could be your next move.
At Nextt, we’re looking for a highly capable
Financial Accountant to join our growing finance team in Sydney! This is more than a standard month-end role - you’ll play a key part in strengthening controls, improving systems, and helping shape scalable finance processes across a complex multi-entity organisation.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll work closely with the Group Financial Controller and wider finance team to deliver accurate financial reporting, support compliance obligations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
You’ll be involved in:
- Month-end reporting and financial statement preparation
- Balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany accounting
- Managing AP/AR and payroll reconciliations
- Supporting audits, BAS/GST, statutory reporting and compliance
- Investigating historical discrepancies and improving controls
- Working across integrated systems including Salesforce and MYOB
- Supporting finance systems configuration, integrations and reporting accuracy
- Partnering with stakeholders across finance, operations and systems
What We’re Looking For
You’re a qualified accountant who enjoys technical accounting and isn’t afraid to roll up your sleeves. You’re naturally analytical, detail-focused, and confident working in a changing environment.
You’ll ideally bring:
- CA / CPA qualification (or near completion)
- Strong financial accounting and reconciliation experience
- A solid Accounts Payable foundation with a deep understanding of transactional finance
- Experience in multi-entity or high-volume environments
- Exposure to Salesforce integrations and MYOB
- The ability to identify issues, improve processes, and build structure within complexity
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
Why Join Us?
- Opportunity for growth and development
- Exposure to systems improvement and finance transformation projects
- Hybrid work
- A supportive, collaborative finance leadership team
- Work that genuinely impacts people and services across the community sector
If you’re the type of accountant who enjoys connecting the dots between systems, reporting, and process improvement, we’d love to hear from you.
