Ready to take the next step in your youth services career?
If you're passionate about creating safe, supportive environments where young people can thrive, and you're ready to guide and develop others along the way, this could be the opportunity you're looking for. As a Team Leader with Kanda, you'll have the chance to make a meaningful difference every day while growing your leadership skills with genuine support behind you.
What you'll be doing
- Creating a positive, trauma-informed home where young people feel safe, supported and empowered to reach their potential.
- Leading by example, mentoring your team and building a culture where people feel valued, confident and connected.
- Helping young people develop the everyday skills and confidence they need to become more independent.
- Supporting your team to deliver high-quality, consistent care while ensuring important documentation and compliance standards are maintained.
- Working closely with leaders and colleagues to create positive outcomes for young people and continuously improve the way care is delivered.
You're the right person if...
- You enjoy supporting and encouraging others, and naturally lead through empathy, consistency and accountability.
- You have experience working with children or young people in residential care and understand the value of trauma-informed practice.
- You've had experience leading, mentoring or coordinating a small team, or you're ready to step into your first formal leadership role.
- You're calm under pressure, communicate well and genuinely care about helping young people achieve positive outcomes.
- You hold (or can obtain before starting) a Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check, have a current driver's licence, and are available to work across a rotating roster including mornings, evenings and sleepovers.
