About the Role:
Are you a master of moving dirt, gravel, and everything in between? Do you thrive behind the controls of heavy machinery, turning big jobs into smooth finishes? If so, we want you to join our team at Barcaldine Regional Council (Alpha) as a Loader Operator!
You will:
Move Mountains: Shift, lift, and load materials with precision and ease.
Keep Safety First: Operate your loader like a pro, following all safety guidelines.
Be a Team Player: Work alongside a dedicated crew to get the job done right.
Location: This position is based in Alpha with Regional work and travel as required.
Classification Level: Level 6 of the Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream B) Award – State 2017 and the Barcaldine Regional Council Certified Agreement 2022.
Wage: Minimum base salary of $67,096.64 per annum + Superannuation (up to 12%) and relevant approved allowances.
Payment of Wages: Council employees are paid fortnightly.
Hours of work: 76 hours over 9 days with a rostered day off (RDO) every fortnight.
Leave: Five (5) weeks annual leave per annum + 17.5% loading. Fifteen (15) days Personal Leave (sick leave) per annum.

What You'll Need:
- Minimum QLD Class 'C' Drivers Licence;
- Current Construction Card (White/Blue Card);
- Minimum two (2) years experience operating Loaders;
- Traffic Controller Licence (desirable);
- Traffic Management Implementation Qualification (desirable);
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
