Full-time Cook required for MS.SUE at 100 Hopkins St, Footscray, VIC 3011
The MS.SUE is currently seeking a qualified full-time cook to join our team at 100 Hopkins St, Footscray, VIC 3011. We are looking for someone who is creative, organised, passionate and experienced in a commercial kitchen.
The job description for a cook is as follows, and it is not an exhaustive list:· Adhere to the food safety standards and occupational health & safety rules and regulations· Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices.· Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes, using various kitchen utensils and equipment.· Coordinates, supervises and collaborates with kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking· Regulate the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.· Store food in temperature-controlled facilities· Portion food, place it on plates, and add gravies, sauces and garnishes.· Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements.· Assists the senior team in the development of new recipes and menu items for specials.· Assist in training other kitchen staff and apprentices Requirements:
· Minimum 1 year of relevant experience and willing to learn new cuisine.
· Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Kitchen Management.
· Knowledge of Food Hygiene & OHS Standards
· Strong teamwork skills and ability to perform under pressure
· Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and good communication skills.

Salary per year - $79,000 to 82,000 plus Super
