The Continental Hotel is seeking an experienced Painter to join the team.
This role is responsible for delivering high-quality painting and coating works across commercial sites in accordance with project specifications, safety requirements, and industry standards. The role contributes to the timely completion of commercial projects while maintaining workmanship, compliance, and site professionalism.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Undertake required surface preparation, repairs and painting works on commercial sites
- Apply paints, coatings, and finishes in accordance with specifications, technical data sheets, and Australian Standards
- Carry out patching, sanding, sealing, priming, and finishing to required quality levels
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment safely and effectively
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in serviceable condition
- Comply with all WHS legislation, company policies, and site safety procedures
- Participate in site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
- Work cooperatively with supervisors, other trades, and contractors
Skills & Experience
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial painting systems and materials
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Clear verbal communication skills
- Experience working on commercial construction or maintenance sites
- Ability to perform manual work including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods
- Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions
Salary between $79, 499 and $85,000 per annum plus superannuation.
