About the Role
Mr Cool Airconditioning Pty Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (HVAC / Building Services) to join our growing team.
Employment Type: Full-time, permanent Salary: $80,000–$85,000 per annum
The successful applicant will assist in the design, coordination, estimation and delivery of commercial HVAC and mechanical services projects across New South Wales.
This position will support both Design & Construct and Construct Only projects and will involve coordination with builders, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers throughout all project stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop HVAC and mechanical services systems
- Perform heat load calculations and ventilation calculations
- Select mechanical equipment and prepare technical schedules
- Prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings and technical documentation
- Review consultant documentation and identify constructability improvements
- Coordinate mechanical services with electrical, hydraulic and fire services
- Support Building Management System (BMS) integration and coordination
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical support to project teams
- Assist with commissioning, testing and balancing of HVAC systems
- Prepare cost estimates, tender submissions and value engineering proposals
- Ensure compliance with NCC, Australian Standards and project specifications
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Experience in HVAC and building services engineering
- Experience using AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Knowledge of NCC and relevant Australian Standards
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team
Preferred:
- Experience with Design & Construct projects
- Experience with commercial HVAC systems
- Experience preparing shop drawings and technical documentation
Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Rockdale NSW
