The Child and Adolescent unit is a level 4 unit consisting of a 20 bedded in patient ward, a short stay ward and outpatient clinics. We cater for children from 0-17 years who are admitted to the unit. Our main specialities include medical, surgical, orthopaedic, ENT, plastics and mental health. We are a welcoming team and offer a supportive fun environment to all staff joining the team. The senior nursing support team includes full time NUM, CNE, CNC and CNS 2’s. The unit has a strong philosophy of quality improvement and family centred care. Royal North Shore Hospital has a positive culture and actively encourages staff to develop. Support is offered for research studies and post graduate qualifications.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Recent post registration relevant experience in acute paediatric nursing.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.
