We’re that local (Not-For-Profit) Child & Parent Centre (CPC) located on Weaver Place in South Hedland (WA) who’s all about connecting with community and ‘learning’ for children and parents. And guess what? You’re a BIG part of how we make this happen.
We’re looking for a Child Parent Centre Manager to work their magic and head up our centre. We need you (and your inspirational leadership) to work alongside families in the Port Hedland community to improve child development outcomes, school readiness and lift collaboration between early years services and programs and help reduce early years system barriers. What you’ll be doing
Walking into your centre you’ll smile, as the early morning sun shines across South Hedland Primary School. As you collaborate with your staff, families, the region and local communities you’ll work with your GM to formulate your business plan. But ultimately, you’re a family connector. You’ll engage with vulnerable families with young children and connect them with early years services & programs that meet their needs. No doubt, this will fuel you quest to form solid early years partnerships with key stakeholders to make that difference to improve child health, wellbeing and development outcomes. You’ll be great in this role if you…
- Have a diploma or degree in Children Services/Early Learning/Health/Community Services or equivalent with relevant experience
- Are experienced in positively engaging with indigenous and culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) communities
- Are a creative out of the box thinker who inspires and mobilises people into action, builds partnerships and is solutions focussed.
- Are known for your ability to lead and motivate staff in a challenging and growing work environment
- Have managed budgets and written insightful reports for multiple stakeholders
- Are known for your excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
- Have the ability to coordinate valuable learning activities to families with young children
- Enjoy identifying, forming and maintaining genuine partnerships with key stakeholders
- Can obtain a National Police Certificate and Working with Children card
- Hold a current Western Australian ‘C’ class Drivers Licence
