The Work You’ll Be Doing
This is hands-on, technical line boring work — not a mass-production role.
You’ll be responsible for:
Onsite and workshop line boring and repairs
Operating line boring equipment and ID welders (Hoffman, Triangle)
Reading and working from engineering drawings and tolerances
Precision machining to restore critical component alignment
Problem-solving with workshop leaders and fellow trades
Maintaining a high safety standard at all times
Delivering quality workmanship that meets time and customer expectations
Roster & Hours
Monday to Friday - 48-hour week
EARLY FINISH ON FRIDAYS!
Roster: 5 Days ON 2 Off X 2, then 5 Nights on 2 Off X 2
What We’re Looking For
You’re a trade-qualified machinist or fitter who knows line boring and takes pride in doing the job right.
Ideally, you’ll have:
Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade with post-trade experience in line boring.
Proven post-trade line boring experience
Experience in heavy equipment, mining or earthmoving
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Strong safety mindset and reliability
MR licence (desirable, or willingness to obtain)
CAT equipment experience (highly regarded, not essential)
A practical, no‑nonsense approach and “get it done properly” attitude
