What you'll be doing
Provide an effective full range of administrative support services, including filing and records management, data input and management, mail receipt and sorting, maintenance of registers, photocopying, typing, phone calls and compiling reports to support the smooth running of the service. The position also involves responding to enquiries, organising, and supporting multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, and coordinating stationery ordering. In addition, the role provides ad hoc administrative support to pathologists and laboratory staff to assist in the effective delivery of pathology services.

- Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and organise own work, display time management skills taking into account the impact on others to achieve results to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems and processes, adapt to changing environments, and work effectively under pressure in a high-volume setting.

- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to confidently and courteously deal with a variety of people.
- Ability to accurately type and format medical reports within a pathology-based environment, ensuring attention to detail and adherence to clinical terminology and standards. This may be complemented by ability to type to dictation skills.
