About the Role
Data tells a story. In this role, you'll help shape how that story is communicated across one of Australia's leading institutional real estate platforms.
As ESG Reporting Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing QIC Real Estate's sustainability data, analytics, reporting and benchmarking activities.
Working closely with sustainability, operations and funds management teams, you'll transform complex environmental, social and governance (ESG) data into meaningful insights that support investment decisions, client reporting and industry-leading sustainability outcomes.
This is a 12-month maternity leave contract (with the potential to extend to 18 months), offering the flexibility of a part-time arrangement, three days per week. The position can be based in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne with hybrid working available.
Beyond traditional reporting, you'll have the opportunity to modernise ESG data processes, drive automation initiatives, leverage tools such as Power BI, and explore how AI can create efficiencies across reporting and data management activities.
You'll work with a highly collaborative team and gain exposure to a broad range of stakeholders across operations, sustainability, utilities providers, clients and industry bodies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing ESG data collection, analysis and reporting across environmental and social sustainability metrics, and supporting third party assurance processes.
- Supporting industry reporting and benchmarking requirements including GRESB, NGERS, NABERS, Green Star and other sustainability frameworks.
- Providing ESG insights for internal and external stakeholders and assisting with the preparation of committee papers, client reports and presentations.
- Monitoring data quality and completeness, identifying inconsistencies and partnering with stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Supporting sustainability strategy initiatives and helping deliver meaningful ESG outcomes across the real estate portfolio.
Staying abreast of emerging sustainability reporting trends, frameworks and industry developments.

About You
You're naturally curious about data and passionate about sustainability. You enjoy uncovering insights, solving complex problems and bringing structure to large volumes of information.
You combine strong analytical capability with exceptional attention to detail and are comfortable working across multiple systems, stakeholders and reporting deadlines. Equally at ease analysing datasets or assisting with the preparation of executive-level papers, you're able to translate technical information into clear, meaningful narratives.

Essential Criteria
- Minimum two years' experience in ESG, sustainability reporting, ESG analytics, responsible investment or a similar data-focused role.
- Experience working with , utilities, energy, carbon or environmental performance metrics.
- Advanced analytical and data management capabilities with strong attention to detail.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience delivering accurate reporting outcomes.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop reports, presentations and stakeholder communications.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proven stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse teams.
A passion for sustainability and creating positive environmental and social outcomes.

Desired Criteria
- Experience within real estate, property, infrastructure or the broader built environment sector.
- Knowledge of sustainability frameworks and reporting standards such as GRESB, NGERS, NABERS, Green Star, B4SI or similar.
- Experience with Power BI, data visualisation tools or reporting automation.
- Exposure to ESG assurance, benchmarking or sustainability performance programs.
- Understanding of buildings-related environmental performance metrics.
- Tertiary qualifications in sustainability, environmental science, business, economics or a related discipline.
Interest in leveraging technology, automation and AI to improve reporting and operational efficiency.
