About the Role
We are seeking Female Support Workers with experienced in supporting with challenging behaviours, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and schizophrenia.
Skilled in providing compassionate, person-centred care while maintaining safety, promoting independence, and using effective de-escalation techniques.
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Home Care Workers to support clients in their own homes across Sydney. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping others and making a positive difference in their community.
Key Responsibilities
- Build a positive, trusting, and consistent relationship through respectful communication and reliability.
- Manage the impacts of PTSD and schizophrenia using trauma-informed and recovery-focused approaches.
- Respond calmly and safely to challenging behaviours, using positive behaviour support strategies and de-escalation techniques where required.
- Assist with daily living tasks, including meal preparation, household duties, personal care (if required), and maintaining a safe and clean home environment.
- Follow all NDIS Practice Standards, workplace policies, and health and safety requirements to ensure high-quality support.Monitor the clients wellbeing and promptly report any changes in her physical or mental health.
- Maintain accurate shift notes, incident reports, and other documentation.
