Warehouse 2IC / Warehouse Supervisor – Full Time

Vacupack is looking for a hands-on Warehouse 2IC / Warehouse Supervisor to support our Warehouse Manager in the day-to-day running of a fast-paced warehouse operation.
This is not an office-based role. We are looking for someone who is physically fit, highly organised, confident on a forklift, and experienced in leading warehouse teams in a busy operational environment.
The right person will be practical, reliable, calm under pressure, and comfortable working in a business where priorities can change quickly.
About the role
You will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to support warehouse operations, stock movement, loading and unloading, stock control, team coordination, housekeeping, and continuous improvement.
This role requires someone who can lead by example, jump on the forklift when needed, keep the warehouse organised, and help maintain strong standards across safety, accuracy, FIFO, 5S, and stock control.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Warehouse Manager with daily warehouse operations
- Lead and support warehouse staff on the floor
- Operate forklift safely and confidently
- Load and unload trucks and containers as required
- Assist with stock movement between sites
- Maintain accurate stock control and stock rotation
- Support stocktakes and cycle counts
- Ensure FIFO processes are followed
- Maintain 5S and strong warehouse housekeeping standards
- Help improve warehouse organisation, layout, and efficiency
- Follow safety, quality, and food packaging requirements
- Support changes and improvements in warehouse processes
- Communicate clearly with production, warehouse, and management teams
What we are looking for
The successful candidate must have:
- Strong forklift driving skills
- Current forklift licence
- Minimum 3 years’ experience leading or supervising a warehouse team
- Experience in a fast-paced warehouse, manufacturing, FMCG, food, packaging, or logistics environment
- Good physical fitness and willingness to be hands-on
- Strong stock control experience
- Experience with stocktake, FIFO, and warehouse organisation
- Good understanding of 5S or similar workplace organisation systems
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities
- Positive attitude and willingness to support change
- Good communication skills
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Important requirement – working rights
This is a full-time ongoing position.
Applicants must have full working rights in Australia and be able to commit to the role long-term. We require candidates who have the right to work in Australia for at least the next four years.
Student visa holders are not suitable for this role due to the full-time and long-term nature of the position.
