Your next career opportunity
In this Project Officer role, you will coordinate high-impact DFAT health security and public health initiatives. You will support multidisciplinary teams delivering complex health projects and strengthen regional systems across diverse settings. You will gain experience in strategic partnerships, MEL, GEDSI and stakeholder engagement at the forefront of global health.

What you will deliver :

Coordinate DFAT Strategic Partnership activities, tracking timelines and deliverables and escalating issues that affect delivery.

Support harmonisation across Priority Work Areas, leadership groups and cross-cutting teams to align program activities.

Facilitate MEL and GEDSI integration by coordinating data collection, stakeholder engagement, workplan inputs and reporting.

Manage key initiatives for the Centre for Pathogen Genomics and MDU PHL, including meetings, events and reporting.

Track budgets against project progress, organise meetings and actions, and support risk identification and issue escalation.

You may be a great fit if :

Hold a tertiary qualification in public, global or international development health, or equivalent experience and training.

Bring demonstrated experience coordinating global health or capacity-building projects, ideally within complex partnership environments.

Demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills, delivering high-quality outputs and meeting competing deadlines.

Engage diverse stakeholders effectively, managing multiple priorities while maintaining collaborative relationships across teams and institutions.

Communicate clearly in writing and verbally, preparing briefings, reports and documentation for varied audiences.

Apply understanding of DFAT-funded projects, MEL frameworks or GEDSI principles, or actively seek to build this expertise .
