The Opportunity
Our Somerton Branch is seeking an experienced Service Supervisor with strong leadership capability and technical expertise to lead our Workshop and Field Service teams.
Reporting to the Service Manager, you'll play a key role in driving safety, productivity and customer satisfaction while providing technical leadership and support to a team of skilled technicians. This role is ideally suited to a hands-on leader who enjoys developing people, improving operational outcomes and delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a team of workshop and field service technicians
- Coordinate daily labour, scheduling and resources to meet customer requirements
- Provide technical support and guidance on complex repairs and diagnostics
- Drive a strong safety culture through toolbox talks, coaching and compliance activities
- Monitor productivity, WIP and service quality outcomes
- Build strong customer relationships and ensure high levels of service delivery
- Liaise with Parts, Administration and other internal stakeholders to support job execution
- Promote continuous improvement across service operations and team performance
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Relevant diesel, mobile plant or mechanical trade qualifications
- Previous experience leading service or workshop teams
- Strong technical knowledge of earthmoving or heavy equipment
- A commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A customer-focused approach and the ability to manage competing priorities
- A proactive mindset with a passion for mentoring others and driving continuous improvement
