The business partners with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) across Australia by providing compliant learning and assessment materials, digital learning solutions, curriculum development, validation services, and ongoing educational support. As the business continues to expand its client base and ICT-enabled education solutions, it is seeking an experienced ICT Business Development Manager to drive business growth, identify new commercial opportunities, and promote the company's ICT-based education products and services.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated ICT Business Development Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with prospective clients, promoting the company's ICT-enabled education and digital learning solutions, and supporting the continued growth of the business across the Australian vocational education sector. You will work closely with management, product development, client support, and implementation teams to understand client requirements, recommend appropriate ICT solutions, negotiate commercial agreements, and coordinate the successful delivery of products and services.
This position requires strong commercial acumen, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a sound understanding of ICT products, digital learning technologies, and business development practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and develop new business opportunities by compiling and maintaining prospective client databases using industry networks, market research, and other business sources.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the company's ICT products, digital learning solutions, competitors, and market trends to support business development activities.
- Meet with prospective and existing clients to understand business requirements and identify opportunities to deliver appropriate ICT-enabled education solutions.
- Assess client needs and recommend suitable products and services that align with operational and educational requirements.
- Promote the company's ICT products and digital learning solutions through presentations, demonstrations, networking activities, and client meetings.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and commercial terms, coordinate and finalise contract documentation, and maintain accurate records of business development activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams to facilitate implementation, onboarding, product delivery, and ongoing client support following successful engagements.
- Prepare sales reports, pipeline updates, market intelligence reports, and business development forecasts for management review.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction with products and services, identify additional business opportunities, and coordinate issue resolution where required.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales documentation, client correspondence, and business development activity reports.
- Collaborate with management to identify emerging market opportunities and contribute to business development strategies and growth initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Qualification and Employment
- Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Marketing, or another related discipline.
- A minimum of one (1) year of recent full-time relevant experience in ICT business development or a closely related role focused on new client acquisition and business growth within the ICT sector.

- Demonstrated experience identifying and developing new business opportunities within the ICT industry.
- Sound understanding of ICT products, digital platforms, software solutions, or technology-enabled business services.
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing business clients.
- Experience conducting client needs analysis and recommending suitable ICT products and services.
- Proven ability to prepare quotations, negotiate commercial agreements, and support contract management activities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple client opportunities and competing priorities.
- Experience preparing sales reports, maintaining CRM systems, and monitoring business development activities.
- High level of commercial awareness, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.
- Must hold a valid driver's licence and have access to a reliable vehicle.
