About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Inwards Goods Warehouse Operator to join our warehouse team.
This role is primarily responsible for the accurate and efficient receipt of incoming stock, including unloading deliveries, checking quantities and products against purchase orders, and safely putting stock away into the warehouse racking.
You will play an important role in ensuring stock is received accurately and that any discrepancies, damages, shortages or delivery issues are identified and communicated promptly to our Procurement and Operations teams.
While inwards goods will be your primary focus, this is a hands-on warehouse role and you will also be expected to assist with general warehouse activities, including picking, packing, stock replenishment and maintaining a clean and organised warehouse, as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming deliveries safely and efficiently.
- Check deliveries against purchase orders and supplier documentation.
- Accurately verify quantities, product codes and condition of stock received.
- Identify and report discrepancies, damaged goods, shortages or incorrect deliveries.
- Liaise with the Procurement and Operations teams regarding delivery issues and stock discrepancies.
- Accurately receipt stock into the company's ERP/system.
- Safely move and put away stock into designated warehouse racking locations.
- Ensure stock is stored correctly and warehouse locations remain organised.
- Assist with stock replenishment and maintaining appropriate stock presentation.
- Assist the wider warehouse team with picking and packing customer orders when required.
- Assist with general warehouse duties and other tasks as directed by the Warehouse Manager.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Follow all company policies, procedures and workplace health and safety requirements.
About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, receiving or inwards goods environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to stock accuracy.
- The ability to safely unload, move and store stock.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- The ability to identify and communicate issues clearly.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn warehouse/ERP systems.
- A positive, team-focused attitude and willingness to assist across the warehouse when required.
- The ability to work independently while also contributing to a busy warehouse team.
- A good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Forklift licence required
