Girraween High School is a fully academically selective, co-educational high school located in Western Sydney, proudly serving a diverse community of 787 students, with 5% from an EAL/D background at the level of Consolidating. Our teaching and learning practices are designed to cater to High Potential and Gifted students (HPG) with high expectations for academic achievement. This is to ensure that high potential learners receive the support they need to excel and reach their full potential. Staff utilise data and assessments in a flexible and responsive manner as an essential component of daily classroom practice. They analyse student progress and achievement data to identify trends at the individual, group, and whole school levels. Our teaching and learning programs are underpinned by a differentiated curriculum which caters for the four Domains of giftedness and also twice exceptional students.
