We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Specialist to manage our national payroll function. This is an independent, end-to-end payroll role that provides the opportunity for you to take full ownership and showcase your expertise.

A week in the life of this role involves:
- Delivering accurate and timely weekly payroll for approximately 700 employees across Australia and New Zealand
- Reconciling and preparing monthly superannuation, payroll tax, and other statutory documentation
- Ensuring payroll compliance with awards, enterprise agreements, employment contracts, and legislation
- Managing payroll queries and providing professional guidance on entitlements, leave, and superannuation
- Performing regular payroll audits and generating accurate, timely reporting for internal and external stakeholders
- Participating in payroll system upgrades, testing, and improvements
Here's what it takes:
- Solid experience processing end-to-end payroll within a medium-sized national organisation
- Thorough knowledge of taxation laws and regulations, including PAYG, ETP, payroll tax, and superannuation
- Understanding and interpreting Awards, EBAs, and employment contracts
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with proactive initiative
- Strong customer-centric approach with the ability to effectively manage internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Proficiency with payroll systems and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups)
- Exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information
- Full and unrestricted Australian working rights
