About the Role
The Clinical Support Registered Nurse provides flexible clinical leadership and support across the facility, working closely with the Clinical Care Coordinator and care teams.
This role focuses on enhancing resident outcomes, supporting staff capability and ensuring compliance with clinical governance requirements and care minute targets.
This is a temporary fixed-term position for a period of six (6) months, created to provide additional clinical leadership and support across the facility, strengthen resident outcomes, and assist in achieving Re-registration.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership, support and guidance to Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Assistants.
- Undertake resident assessments, care planning, reviews and clinical documentation.
- Recognise and respond to changes in residents' conditions and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Support medication management and clinical risk management processes.
- Assist with incident management, audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and coach team members to build clinical capability and confidence.
- Support the achievement of Registered Nurse and total care minute targets.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and person-centred care.
- Ensure compliance with the Aged Care Act 2024, Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and organisational policies.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated experience in residential aged care.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience supporting, mentoring and developing care teams.
- Sound knowledge of the Aged Care Act 2024 and Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Strong computer literacy and clinical documentation skills.
