About the Role
We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Disability Support Workers to provide high-quality care and support to elderly and people living with disabilities. The successful applicants will assist clients with daily living activities, encourage independence, and promote social inclusion while maintaining dignity, respect, and individual choice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and the safe use of mobility aids.
- Accompany clients to appointments, community access activities, recreational outings, and social engagements.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding where required.
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and encouragement to enhance clients' wellbeing.
- Support clients in developing and maintaining daily living skills.
- Perform domestic assistance duties, including cleaning, vacuuming, laundry, and general household tasks.
- Assist with shopping, errands, and transportation as required.
- Monitor clients' wellbeing and report any concerns to supervisors and relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with organisational policies.
- Support participants in achieving their individual care and support goals.
- May be required to provide live-in or overnight support arrangements where applicable.
Skills and Experience
- Certificate III or higher qualification in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, Community Services, or a related field.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience in aged care, disability support, or community care services.
- Demonstrated ability to provide person-centred care and support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to client care.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

Pay: $79,900.00 – $85,900.00 per year
