About the Role
We’re looking for driven, Workshop Team Member to join our team, specialising in Engineering and Sheetmetal machinery sales. You will perform preventative maintenance, new machine service and precommissioning on a range of Steelmaster machinery such as Pressbrakes, Guillotines, Lathes, Milling Machines, Plasma and many more machine items from our inventory. At times your fault-finding skills will be tested. This position requires strong mechanical skills and a proactive approach to workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine precommissioning on new machinery prior to delivery to the customer.
- Diagnose mechanical faults.
- Work with our team to assist with quality control.
- Understand fluid control and power schematics (preferred).
- Align and install pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and rotating equipment.
- Overhaul and rebuild mechanical components in the workshop as required.
- Maintain clean work areas and complete accurate test logs.
Requirements
- Trade Qualification in Mechanical Fitting (preferred or equivalent Certificate).
- Non qualified with above industry experience also encouraged to apply.
- Preferred experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or heavy engineering environment.
- Strong skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, hand tools and precision alignment.
- Commitment to a zero-harm safety culture.
- Valid Driver’s License (Forklift highly regarded).
