Gippsland Pest Management is looking for an exceptionally organised Scheduler to keep our technicians moving, our clients informed and our days running smoothly — even when the schedule decides to throw a few surprises our way. And it will. Pests are not known for respecting calendars.
Our current Scheduler is moving into our new Key Accounts Coordinator role, so we’re looking for someone to step into their shoes.
You won’t be handed a mysterious spreadsheet and seventeen unanswered questions. You’ll receive a proper handover and have the benefit of our current Scheduler’s knowledge while you settle into the role.
Based at our Warragul factory, you’ll work closely with our Office Team Lead, Key Accounts Coordinator, office team and field technicians.
Your job is simple in theory: get the right technician to the right job, at the right time, with the right information.
In reality, it looks a little more like:
-
Building and managing daily and forward technician schedules.
- Booking jobs and speaking with clients.
- Gathering the right information to book the right service.
- Planning sensible travel routes across Gippsland and beyond.
- Filling gaps and making the best use of technician time.
- Managing cancellations, delays and urgent work without declaring a state of emergency.
- Keeping clients and technicians informed when plans change.
- Making sure job notes, access details and site information are accurate.
- Coordinating recurring services, return visits and follow-up work.
- Working with our Key Accounts Coordinator on commercial scheduling commitments.
- Spotting recurring problems and suggesting smarter ways to do things.
- Helping the office and field teams stay on the same page.
It’s part scheduling, part client service, part problem-solving and occasionally a competitive game of calendar Tetris.
You don’t need to know everything about pests. We can teach you that.
You do need to be someone who:
-
Is genuinely organised — not just the proud owner of a nice notebook.
- Can change the plan without losing the plot.
- Communicates clearly, honestly and kindly.
- Is confident speaking with all kinds of people.
- Notices the details that can make or break a technician’s day.
- Takes responsibility and follows things through.
- Can balance the needs of clients, technicians and the business.
- Enjoys learning new systems and finding better ways to work.
- Supports their teammates and knows when to ask for help.
- Likes solving the actual problem — rather than simply moving it to tomorrow.
Experience in scheduling, dispatch, logistics, administration or client service would be highly regarded.
Experience supporting a mobile service, trade or field-based team would be even better. But attitude, capability and alignment with our values matter just as much.
And if you know your way around Gippsland, even better. If you understand why booking Pakenham, Phillip Island and Sale back-to-back probably isn't our finest scheduling decision, we're already off to a promising start.
Gippsland Pest Management is a family-owned business based in Warragul, providing residential and commercial pest management services across Gippsland and beyond.

Our four core values are:

Environmental Consciousness We care about the impact of our decisions and look for ways to reduce it.
Collaboratively Solving REAL Problems We identify the problem, talk about it honestly and work together to find a solution that actually works.
