Your new role:
As a Senior Occupational Therapist within the In-reach Rehabilitation team, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitation services to inpatients requiring specialist rehabilitation support within an acute care environment. Working within a shared care model, you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary colleagues to optimise patient outcomes, support service development, and contribute to the ongoing advancement of rehabilitation practice.
In this role, you will:
Deliver specialist Occupational Therapy assessment, intervention and evaluation
Manage a complex caseload within a fast-paced acute rehabilitation setting
Apply advanced clinical reasoning and independent decision-making skills
Provide expert advice and support to Occupational Therapy and multidisciplinary teams
Contribute to evidence-based practice, clinical protocols and service development
Lead and participate in quality improvement and research initiatives

To be successful, you will bring:
Registration as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA
Demonstrated experience delivering Occupational Therapy services within rehabilitation or acute healthcare settings
Advanced clinical assessment, intervention and discharge planning skills
Strong clinical reasoning and complex case management capabilities
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution skills
Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams

The Division of Allied Health and Rehabilitation provides high quality, strong person-centred, evidence based, multi-disciplinary clinical, education and research services across the continuum of patient care. The Division also has the key function of leading First Nations Health and Outpatient Reform and Governance.
Rehabilitation services consists of inpatient, outpatient and community rehabilitation and persistent pain services for people with acquired brain injury (ABI), amputation, persistent pain, spinal cord injury (SCI) and other disabilities.
Allied Health modalities support all services across the hospital and wider community. These services aim to improve patient outcomes focusing on supporting self-management and independence, improving functional outcomes and rehabilitation and reducing admissions and length of stay.
