Our newest venue, Pocket Pizza Avalon, sits at 1 Simmonds Lane, Avalon Beach — bringing all the Pocket Pizza favourites, arguably the world's best ambience, and service to match. We're looking for a Restaurant Supervisor to help lead the floor and make sure every guest has a great time.
About the Role
As Restaurant Supervisor, you'll be a key part of our leadership team, running the floor day-to-day and setting the tone for the guest experience. You'll support the Restaurant Manager in driving service standards, mentoring the team, and keeping the venue running smoothly during busy dinner services. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves hospitality and takes pride in getting the details right.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise floor operations during service, ensuring a smooth, high-quality guest experience from start to finish
- Set the standard for a warm, customer-first approach across the team
- Oversee table service, bar, and floor staff, providing hands-on coaching and support during shifts
- Confidently guide guests through our wine, cocktail, and food offerings, making knowledgeable recommendations
- Maintain a high attention to detail across service standards, presentation, and venue cleanliness
- Assist with rostering, opening/closing procedures, and stock/cash handling as required
- Handle guest feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Support onboarding and training of new team members
- Ensure compliance with RSA, food safety, and WHS standards
- Help foster a positive, fun, and supportive team culture
About You
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a hospitality supervisory or senior front-of-house role
- Sound knowledge of wine, cocktails, and food, with the confidence to guide guest choices
- A genuine customer-first attitude and a passion for delivering great experiences
- High attention to detail and pride in consistently high standards
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate a team under pressure
- Calm, organised, and solutions-focused during busy services
- Current RSA certification (required)
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
