Hoxton Park Public School is located in the south-west of Sydney, on Dharug Country, in the Liverpool Local Council area. The student population is currently 577 students, and our school community is diverse, with 74.5% of students coming from a language background other than English. First Nations people account for 2.5% of student enrolment. The student population is drawn from various socio-cultural backgrounds with forty-five identified home languages spoken. The predominant languages spoken after English are Arabic 33%, Hindi 10%, Vietnamese 9%, Samoan 9%, Khmer 8%, and Nepali 7%. Specialist teachers support students with English as an Additional Language or Dialect in the beginning and emerging phases. The school has two inclusive learning (support) classes and employs a speech therapist and an occupational therapist for their expertise in providing students access to the curriculum. Our ICSEA (Index of Community Socio-Educational Advantage) is currently 988 up from 979 in 2022 with Hoxton Park Public School more educationally advantaged than 41% of schools in Australia. In 2025, our NCCD (Nationally Consistent Collection of Data) reflected students with a cognitive, physical, social/emotional or sensory disability made up 53% of the total student cohort, with the majority of students requiring either quality differentiated teaching practice or supplementary support. The school offers programs for high potential and gifted students including a Stage 3 needs-based class, a dance teacher and a debate coach. Our school partners for professional learning for teachers with the NSW Primary Principals' Association, 4C Transformative Learning, and Dr George Otero and Lisa Otero. Our Community Hub is at the heart of our school and is partially funded by Community Hubs Australia (CHA) and supported by CHA and Liverpool City Council. We employ a Community Liaison Officer and have many varied programs on offer such as playgroup, English classes, swim classes, Dads and Kids initiatives, Floristry, Tai Chi, gardening, cooking, and empowerment through business. We offer a food pantry and a Shop and Save afternoon for community to purchase pantry staples each week, as well as a Breakfast Club three days per week, available for all students. Our Block Party is a community highlight with over 600 people attending in 2025.

Expertise in Kindergarten to Year 2 curriculum, pedagogy and assessment, with a demonstrated capacity to lead evidence-informed explicit teaching that accelerates student achievement in literacy and numeracy.
Demonstrated capacity to inspire and develop high-performing teams through collaboration, effective use of student achievement data and high impact professional learning
Proven capacity to foster an inclusive culture with demonstrated ability to build authentic partnerships with students, staff, families and the wider community.
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
