Velocity Support Services is looking for an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner contractor who can bring more than just technical knowledge. We are seeking someone who can add value to our team, guide quality practice, support developing practitioners, assist with policies and procedures, and help strengthen our behaviour support service as we continue to grow.
This role would suit a confident, experienced and passionate practitioner who enjoys working with participants and families, but also has the capability to contribute at a higher level across supervision, compliance, systems and quality improvement.

Your Role
- Completing functional behaviour assessments and behaviour support assessments
- Developing interim and comprehensive behaviour support plans
- Reviewing and improving behaviour support documentation
- Providing clinical guidance, mentoring and supervision to developing practitioners where appropriate
- Supporting implementation of behaviour support strategies with participants, families, support workers and stakeholders
- Assisting with restrictive practice requirements, reporting and compliance obligations
- Providing guidance on behaviour support policies, procedures and internal systems
- Supporting audit preparation and helping ensure documentation is aligned with NDIS Practice Standards
- Working collaboratively with participants, families, support coordinators, allied health professionals and service providers
What you will require:
- Current driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Practitioner Identification Number (Behaviour Support)
- Qualified in a relevant field (e.g., Psychology, ABA, OT, Social Work, Counselling) not essential for Behaviour Support Pracitioners.
- AHPRA Registration essential for Psychologists.
