The Nurse Navigator role will be integral in providing clinical leadership, management and co-ordinating the functions of the Emergency Department. The primary function of the role is to manage and support the flow of patients through our emergency departments on a shift-by-shift basis. This position also provides clinical support, and mentoring throughout the shift, as well as supporting professional development and quality improvement programs. This role will balance with a clinical shifts to provide a well rounded professional development oppourtunity.
A comprehensive and dynamic specialist clinical leadership team will support you, inclusive of Clinical Directors, Deputy Medical Directors, Nurse Unit Managers (NUM’s), Clinical education team, Clinical Nurse Consultants and Nurse Practitioners.
We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity.
- Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA.
- Post Graduate Qualifications in Emergency or Critical Care with a minimum 3 years’ experience within the clinical specialty.
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and communication skills including advocacy and negotiation and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to mentor and coach nursing staff to enhance professional development
