What’s the role?
You’ll step into a key role within the Non-Financial Risk team, where you’ll support how Westpac manages and oversees controls, issues, and incidents across the Group.
You’ll help ensure risk policies are applied consistently in practice, working closely with teams across the business to strengthen how non-financial risk is understood and managed day to day. A core part of your role will be shaping clear, practical reporting that gives senior leaders and risk committees confidence in the decisions they make.
You’ll also play a part in lifting how things are done by spotting opportunities to improve processes, enhancing reporting quality, and supporting a stronger, more consistent risk culture across Westpac.
What do I need?
You’ll bring a practical, detail-focused approach and feel comfortable working across teams to drive consistent risk outcomes.
- Experience working in operational risk, particularly in policy or framework governance.
- Ability to simplify complex risk information into clear, executive-ready reporting.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to work across business and risk teams.
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality outputs.
- Familiarity with risk systems such as JUNO and SIP.
