We are currently seeking reliable and motivated Trades Assistant to join the team working on tram projects.
This is a hands-on role involving the preparation of trams for painting, including sandblasting, surface preparation, masking, cleaning, and general workshop duties. The successful candidates will work within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities
- Sandblasting tram components and surfaces in preparation for painting.
- Surface preparation including grinding, sanding, cleaning, and masking.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Following quality, safety, and environmental procedures.
General labouring and workshop support duties as required.

Your Profile
- Previous experience as Trades Assistant or working in industrial painting environment.
- Sandblasting or surface preparation experience highly regarded.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a team.
- Onboarding Process - Willingness to complete a Drug & Alcohol Test and National Police Check after a successful interview.
Location: Dandenong South
Duration: 6 months
Shift: Mon - Fri from 6 AM to 2:30 PM ( OT and weekend work available as per project requirement )
Pay rate: $52.73/hr + Super + Penalties ( New EBA rates effective from 01.07.26 )
