Lead the development of innovative engineered products from concept through to production.
We're looking for an experienced Product Development Engineer with deep expertise in injection moulding, polymers and plastic component design to join a growing engineering team developing complex manufactured products used across Australia and international markets.
The Opportunity
Take ownership of new product development programs, leading products from initial concept through CAD design, prototyping, testing, validation and production release.
Working alongside industrial designers, manufacturing, sourcing and quality teams, you'll help deliver products that are innovative, robust, manufacturable and commercially successful.
You'll also mentor junior engineers while helping shape engineering best practice across the team.
The Role

Injection moulded plastic component design

Polymer selection and material performance

Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)

Tooling development and supplier collaboration

Bringing products from concept through to production

CAD design (SolidWorks)

Product testing, validation and continuous improvement.
About You
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design or similar

Proven experience in product development or design engineering

Strong understanding of injection moulding and polymer design

Experience leading engineering projects through the complete product lifecycle

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

A practical, hands-on approach to solving engineering problems.
