We are seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our growing team. About the Role
As a Motor Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of motor vehicles to ensure they operate safely, efficiently, and in accordance with manufacturer specifications. You will utilise modern diagnostic equipment and apply your technical expertise to identify faults and complete repairs to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using specialised diagnostic equipment and testing procedures.
- Conduct engine and mechanical tests to determine the condition and performance of motor vehicles.
- Repair, overhaul and replace engines, transmissions, clutches, steering systems, suspension, braking systems and other mechanical components.
- Inspect and service fuel, ignition, cooling, exhaust and electrical systems.
- Perform routine servicing and scheduled maintenance, including oil and filter changes, lubrication, tune-ups and vehicle inspections.
- Remove, dismantle, repair and reassemble mechanical components and assemblies.
- Test repaired vehicles to ensure faults have been rectified and vehicles meet safety and performance standards.
- Maintain accurate service records, repair documentation and job reports.
- Recommend future maintenance requirements and advise customers on vehicle care.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with workplace health and safety policies and manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.

Qualifications
- Certificate III in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Trade (or equivalent recognised trade qualification). Certificate IV in Automotive Engineering or a related field will be highly regarded.
- Current driver's licence (preferred).
Experience
- Minimum 3 years' relevant experience as a Motor Mechanic.
- Demonstrated experience diagnosing, servicing and repairing a broad range of motor vehicles.
- Experience using electronic diagnostic equipment and interpreting technical manuals.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
