Your new role:
Be responsible for maintaining, repairing and calibrating a range of advanced plant and CNC equipment to ensure maximum uptime, reliability and accuracy.
Working across preventative, corrective and condition-based maintenance, you will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, carry out repairs, and complete precision recalibration following breakdowns or servicing.
You will also support equipment condition monitoring, manage spare parts and inventory requirements, and ensure all maintenance activities are accurately documented.
This is a hands-on role where your work directly supports production efficiency, equipment performance and continuous improvement across the site.
Role Overview & Key Responsibilities:
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair CNC machinery and plant equipment to maximise uptime and minimise production downtime.
Calibrate and recommission equipment following repairs to ensure precision, accuracy and optimal performance.
Monitor equipment condition and carry out preventative and corrective maintenance to identify issues before they impact production.
Manage critical spares and parts, including ordering, inventory control and liaising with suppliers to ensure parts and equipment are available when required.
Document maintenance activities including service reports, repair records, requisitions and technical documentation.
Coordinate external service providers and communicate with suppliers, contractors and internal stakeholders to keep repairs and servicing on track.
Identify and communicate improvement opportunities, helping reduce recurring faults, improve equipment reliability and control maintenance costs.
Respond to breakdowns and organise service support when required, keeping supervisors and management informed of equipment status and repair progress.
Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring all maintenance activities comply with Marand’s HSE requirements, procedures and legislative obligations.
Knowledge, skills and essential experience:
5+ years’ experience maintaining and servicing production CNC machinery.
Experienced in the maintenance and basic operation of CNC Lathes and Mills.
Strong skills in equipment repairs and machinery calibration.
Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and basic troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of equipment uptime in a production environment.
Ability to operate manual Lathes, Mills and Grinders.
Able to develop repair methods and supporting documentation for breakdowns and scheduled
