The Opportunity
Join our North Sydney team as an Asset Data & Systems Analyst and play a key role in driving asset performance across the Western Harbour Tunnel and Sydney Harbour Tunnel contract. In this dynamic, data-driven position, you'll manage and enhance asset information within IBM Maximo and related systems, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and compliance.
Working closely with the Reliability Engineer and Asset Management team, you'll transform asset data into actionable insights that support maintenance planning, performance reporting, condition monitoring, and lifecycle decision-making. You'll also contribute to system improvements, reporting capabilities, and user support within Maximo.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented analyst with strong problem-solving skills and experience in CMMS/EAM platforms who is passionate about using high-quality data to improve operational outcomes and drive continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities
-
Administer and maintain IBM Maximo to ensure system reliability, data integrity, and compliance.

Maintain accurate asset registers and coordinate Master Data updates.

Validate, reconcile, and audit asset and maintenance data, resolving discrepancies as required.

Develop and maintain preventive and corrective maintenance plans within Maximo.

Ensure maintenance schedules meet operational, regulatory, and contractual requirements.

Support asset lifecycle planning, forecasting, budgeting, and resource optimisation.

Maintain asset data, Technical Maintenance Plans (TMP), and long-term Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules.

Prepare reports, dashboards, and analysis to support asset management and operational decision-making.

Utilise Maximo data to identify improvement opportunities and enhance reporting capabilities.

Provide user support, training, and guidance, and coordinate work order planning and close-out.

Ensure compliance with legislation, Australian Standards, contractual requirements, and ISO 55000/55001 asset management principles.
About You
-
Tertiary qualification in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Technology, Engineering, Asset Management, Construction, or a related discipline.

Proficiency in IBM Maximo, including asset data management, reporting, and system administration is a must.

Strong analytical skills with experience in data validation, reporting, KPI development, and data integrity management.

Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and asset data management practices, with knowledge of ISO 55000 and data governance principles.

Experience maintaining asset registers, coordinating master data changes, and producing asset performance insights.

Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and work independently in a dynamic environment.

Experience in asset-intensive industries such as transport, utilities, mining, infrastructure, or facilities management.

Exposure to CMMS/AIMS implementation or configuration.

Working knowledge of Power BI, Python, SQL Server, Azure, AWS, and ITIL frameworks.
