Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to lead and support our Orthopaedics Unit. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care and foster a supportive team environment within a leading healthcare organisation.
As an ANUM in our Orthopaedics Unit, you will work collaboratively with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the ward. You will play a crucial role in clinical leadership, staff development, and maintaining exceptional standards of patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing clinical leadership and guidance to the nursing team on the unit.

Assisting the Nurse Unit Manager with daily ward operations, resource management, and rostering.

Participating in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans for medical and cardiac patients.

Mentoring and supporting nursing staff, including new graduates and junior team members.

Ensuring compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and relevant clinical standards.

Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and risk management strategies within the unit.

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive patient care and discharge planning.

Managing patient admissions, transfers, and discharges effectively.
You are a highly motivated Registered Nurse with significant experience in orthopaedics, including previous leadership or supervisory experience. You possess excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills, enabling you to lead with confidence and compassion. We are looking for an individual who demonstrates:

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.

Extensive clinical experience in surgical/orthopaedics nursing.

Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in a senior nursing role.

A commitment to patient-centred care and continuous professional development.

The ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.

Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
Remuneration
$57.44 - $59.16 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (VIC Associate Nurse Unit Manager yr1-yr2)
